The famous PLAY COMME des GARÇONS x Converse sneakers — also known as the “Converse with the hearts” — are making a stylish comeback this spring and summer. The new release for Spring/Summer 2025 features a bold twist: extra-thick platform soles that add height and attitude to the classic Chuck Taylor All-Star.
These new versions will come in both low-top and high-top styles. You can choose between two colorways: a black pair with red details and the signature red heart logo, or a white pair with black details and matching black heart logos. No matter which one you pick, you’ll notice key design features like thin piping on the thick midsole, a contrasting heel piece, and the iconic heart with eyes artwork by Filip Pagowski placed on the side.
The collaboration between PLAY COMME des GARÇONS and Converse has been going strong since 2009, and over the years, their heart-covered sneakers have become some of the most loved and recognizable shoes in the world.
The latest platform edition of the “Converse with the hearts” will release on April 13 and be available at select retailers like Dover Street Market. The retail price is ¥25,300 JPY, which is about $162 USD.
