ASICS has joined hands with eco-friendly fashion brand Story mfg. for a new version of the GEL-VENTURE 6 sneaker. This is Story mfg.’s first-ever sneaker collaboration, and they’ve added their unique, handmade touch to the shoes.
The shoes come in two soft, earthy colors — “Reddish Brown” and “Vanilla Violet Quartz.” Each pair features breathable mesh uppers and gingham check panels, giving the sneakers a handcrafted and vintage feel. The standout feature is the double-lacing system with gingham laces woven vertically, which makes them look fun and unique.
The midsoles match the colors of the uppers, and ASICS’ famous side stripes are still part of the design. What’s cool is that the branding is split — Story mfg.’s logo is on the right tongue and ASICS’ logo is on the left. The sneakers still include the classic Gel cushioning, so they’re comfortable for everyday wear.
These special sneakers will be available early at a pop-up event in London from April 11 to 12 at 19 Hanbury Street. A wider online release will happen on April 13 through Story mfg.’s website, and they’ll be released globally on April 18.
Each pair is priced at $133 USD, and they’re perfect for anyone who loves style with a sustainable touch.
