PUMA has officially revealed the Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3, a high-performance running shoe made for serious racers. Set to release on April 25, this upgraded version promises faster times and better comfort for long-distance runners.
The Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 was tested in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Amherst and expert researcher Wouter Hoogkamer. The results showed that this shoe improves running efficiency by 3.15% compared to the last version. That could save runners around 4.5 minutes in a 3-hour marathon—a big difference for competitive athletes.
One of the biggest changes is the new NITROFOAM™ ELITE cushioning, which makes the shoe more responsive and better at absorbing impact. It also uses ULTRAWEAVE, a super lightweight and breathable fabric, to keep your feet cool and comfortable during races.
This is PUMA’s lightest race shoe ever, designed to give runners full support from start to finish. It’s meant to boost your confidence and performance on race day.
A limited release of the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 will happen at The High Point, PUMA’s event for the Boston Marathon, from April 18–20. The global launch follows on April 25, and the shoes will be available on PUMA’s website, app, flagship stores, and selected retailers worldwide. The retail price is $300 USD.
