Nike and music label PAN have teamed up for an exciting new project called “The Suspended Hour”, revealed during Milan Design Week. This creative event blends music, fashion, and design in a unique way — all centered around the bold new version of the Nike Air Max 180.
The sneaker itself is sleek and blacked-out, removing the usual Nike swoosh for a more minimal look. It reflects PAN’s deep roots in experimental electronic music, with a design that feels both futuristic and elegant.
To celebrate the launch, Nike and PAN created an interactive installation at Milan Design Week. The event, named “The Suspended Hour”, lets visitors move through different moods: Anticipation, Discovery, Euphoria, Twilight, and Solitude. Each space plays with sound and light to create a club-like experience, inspired by the feeling of a long, unforgettable night of dancing.
PAN founder Bill Kouligas explained, “The Air Max 180 is more than a sneaker — it’s a mix of art, innovation, and self-expression. It connects with our music and creative style perfectly.”
The shoe features black mesh uppers, a translucent glaze, and subtle nods to Greek mythology — a reflection of Kouligas’ Greek roots and global outlook. The design aims to be bold but accessible, perfect for both fashion lovers and music fans.
The PAN x Nike Air Max 180 will release on April 9 through PAN’s Bandcamp store, while “The Suspended Hour” experience will be open from April 7–13 at Capsule Plaza in Spazio Maiocchi, Milan.
If you’re into music, design, or sneakers — this collaboration is one to check out.
