Paul Rodriguez’s first signature skate shoe is coming back in May.
This year, Nike SB is bringing back a true classic — the Nike SB P-Rod 1, the first-ever signature shoe for skateboarder Paul Rodriguez. Originally released in 2005, the shoe is returning in May 2025 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. You’ll be able to grab a pair for $110 USD via Nike SNKRS and select skate shops.
The returning version features the original white and black colorway, with a leather upper and special quilted “R” detailing on the heel, paying tribute to Paul Rodriguez’s nickname. The shoe also has Zoom Air cushioning for extra comfort and a padded tongue for that classic skate-ready feel.
A few new touches have been added too. This version comes with a semi-translucent outsole instead of the solid black sole seen in older models. Plus, there's a metallic silver “SHS” label on the lace dubrae, matching the tongue and heel logos.
So far, Nike hasn’t announced the exact release date, but fans can expect the P-Rod 1 to hit shelves this May. With more colorways likely on the way, 2025 is shaping up to be a big year for one of Nike SB’s most iconic shoes.
