A touching tribute to Gigi Bryant, set to release on her birthday.
Nike is honoring Gigi Bryant once again with a special edition of the Kobe 9 EM, part of the heartfelt “Mambacita” series. This line of sneakers is dedicated to Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Gigi, and first began in 2022 with the Kobe 6 Protro. Since then, it has continued each year with new models and meaningful designs.
The upcoming Nike Kobe 9 EM “Mambacita” features a bold mix of black, white, and metallic gold. The upper fades from white to black and is highlighted with shiny gold Swooshes. On the heel, you’ll find a gold “Gigi” tribute, while the Sheath logo appears on the tongue. The sole features a unique black and white marble pattern, adding to the shoe’s distinct look.
Vanessa Bryant revealed this pair on Instagram, alongside other upcoming releases from Nike’s Kobe line. While Nike hasn’t officially announced full release details yet, this pair is expected to drop on May 1 — Gigi’s birthday — following the tradition of past “Mambacita” launches.
The Kobe 9 EM “Mambacita” is expected to release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers for $180 USD. Stay tuned for official photos and updates as we get closer to the launch.
