Converse x CDG Sneakers Removed from Costco After Surprise Appearance

Fashion fans were shocked—and now the shoes are gone.

The popular COMME des GARÇONS x Converse Chuck 70 sneakers, also known as the "Converse with the Hearts," have been removed from Costco stores in Canada. This comes after many shoppers spotted them being sold in-store, which caused a buzz online. Reports now suggest that it may have been a “distribution mishap.” The brand, COMME des GARÇONS, has not commented on the situation.

Earlier this month, shoppers at Costco in Canada were surprised to find something unexpected in the aisles — the stylish CDG PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor High Tops, known for their iconic heart logo. A video shared by @CostcoMarkhamEast on Instagram showed the sneakers being sold for $129.99 CAD, a deal compared to their usual price.

These shoes were seen at multiple Costco locations in the Greater Toronto Area, including Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Oshawa, Scarborough, and more. The pairs came in classic black and white versions, featuring the signature heart logo on the side of the '70s-style high-top sneakers.

Fans were both excited and confused — these shoes are usually sold through high-end fashion retailers like Dover Street Market. While it’s unclear how they ended up at Costco, it now seems they’ve been pulled from shelves just as quickly as they appeared.
