A special color makeover for one of Chanel's most iconic watches.
To celebrate 25 years of its famous J12 watch, Chanel has released a stunning midnight-blue edition. This luxury timepiece, usually seen in black or white, now comes in a rich, deep blue — a first for the J12 line.
The J12 was first launched in 2000 and quickly became known for its sleek design and ceramic body, making it both stylish and durable. Over time, it’s become a symbol of elegance and modern luxury. Now, to mark its anniversary, Chanel is offering the J12 in nine new versions featuring this special blue tone.

Frédéric Grangié, president of Chanel Watches and Fine Jewelry, said that while they always knew they could explore other colors, blue felt right for this major milestone. He explained that this new version, called the J12 Bleu, looks and feels different from the original black and white styles. With a matte, slightly satin finish, the watch is fresh yet familiar — perfect for longtime fans and new customers alike.
The original J12 design was inspired by the sleek lines of J-Class yachts, thanks to Chanel’s former artistic director Jacques Helleu, who designed it as a personal passion project. Now, 25 years later, the J12 has become a true icon in the watch world.
