ASICS has launched a brand new sneaker called the GEL-SEKIRAN, blending modern style with inspiration from their classic running shoes. It’s already available in Australia and comes in two debut color options: “Black/Waterfall” and “White/Lapis Lazuli Blue.” The shoes are priced at $230 AUD (around $137 USD).
The GEL-SEKIRAN takes design ideas from three popular ASICS models: the GEL-NIMBUS 13, GEL-CUMULUS 12, and GEL-CUMULUS 17. The result is a sleek sneaker with layered detailing that gives it a fresh, stylish look while keeping that sporty feel.
The Black/Waterfall version starts with a black mesh base and adds a blue gradient along the overlays, finished with shiny silver ASICS stripes. On the other hand, the White/Lapis Lazuli Blue pair begins with a white base and transitions into shades of blue, also accented with silver for a clean and eye-catching design.
Although the shoes are currently available only on ASICS’ Australian website, there’s no official word yet on when they will release globally. Still, it’s expected that the GEL-SEKIRAN will become a big part of ASICS’ lifestyle sneaker collection this year.
