Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air” Set to Drop This Summer With a Bold New Look

Jordan Brand is getting ready to launch a new version of the Air Jordan 3, and it’s called the “Rare Air.” This special sneaker is part of a series inspired by sample shoes — the early test versions — which often had small design changes or imperfections. That "imperfect sample" look is what makes this pair stand out.

The Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air” features a mix of colors including black, red, gray, blue, and off-white. One cool detail is the flipped Nike Air logo on the heel — but it only appears on the right shoe, giving it a unique, mismatched vibe. The upper is mostly black, while the midsole is off-white and there are pops of red and blue on the tongue and trim areas.

Inside, the shoes come with a “Rare Air” sockliner, making it clear that this is a special release. The sneaker also keeps the classic elephant print details that fans of the Jordan 3 love.

Nike has officially confirmed that the Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air” will be released on May 30, 2025, at a retail price of $210 USD. You’ll be able to find it on Nike SNKRS and at select sneaker stores.

If you're into sneakers that blend history, style, and a touch of uniqueness, this pair might be a must-cop for summer.
