Nike is bringing back a fan-favorite colorway with a fresh twist in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year.” Set to release on April 18, this new version celebrates Michael Jordan’s incredible rookie season in the NBA.
The colorway is inspired by the outfit Jordan wore when he accepted his Rookie of the Year award back in 1985. The shoe comes in a mix of sail (off-white), black, golden harvest (a soft brown), and gym red. It’s similar to the high-top version released in 2018, but now arrives in a low-top style.
The upper features white leather with golden brown suede overlays, while black details show up on the Swoosh, laces, collar, and outsole. A pop of red is added on the tongue label for a nice finishing touch. Even the shoe box matches the color theme, adding a bit more flair for collectors.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year” will release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers on April 18 for $140 USD. Whether you're a long-time Jordan fan or just love clean, classic colorways, this pair is one to watch.
