The Air Jordan 11 "Purple Rain" Honoring Prince Sells for $100K

A one-of-a-kind tribute to the music icon.

Jordan Brand designed a special Air Jordan 11 “Purple Rain” to honor the legendary musician Prince. Sadly, due to his unexpected passing in 2016, the shoes never made it to him. This one-of-a-kind pair recently sold for an incredible $100,000 USD.

The sneaker’s deep purple suede upper and velvet mudguards reflect Prince’s iconic style, while a purple outsole and white midsole add contrast. Metallic silver Jumpman logos bring a touch of elegance.

Inside, the shoe features custom insoles with Prince’s signature font and falling rain graphics, a tribute to his classic song “Purple Rain.” This historic sneaker stands as a lasting symbol of Prince’s influence in both music and fashion.
