Game-worn and signed Nike Kobe 7 from the legendary night.
Sotheby’s is set to auction a game-worn and signed pair of Nike Kobe 7 PEs, the same sneakers Kobe Bryant wore when he made NBA history on December 5, 2012. That night, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the New Orleans Hornets, and Bryant became the youngest player to ever reach 30,000 career points at just 34 years and 104 days old.
A Historic Moment
Bryant’s achievement placed him among basketball legends like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Karl Malone. Since then, Dirk Nowitzki, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant have also crossed the 30K mark, but Bryant remains the second-youngest to ever do so—only behind LeBron James.
The Iconic Sneakers
During that game, Bryant wore a pair of Nike Kobe 7 PEs in a grey and purple colorway. These sneakers are now up for auction, featuring:
- His signature and the handwritten inscription “30K 12-5-12” to commemorate the milestone.
- An estimated selling price of $200,000 to $300,000 USD.
- A special auction lot that also includes a PSA 9 MINT-graded game ticket, a program, and a DVD of the historic game.
Auction Details
The game-worn Nike Kobe 7 sneakers will be displayed at Sotheby’s New York on March 21, with bidding closing on March 25.
