Nothing, the London-based tech company, has announced its latest smartphones – Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. These devices bring improved performance, upgraded cameras, and a new AI platform, all while keeping affordability in mind.
Bigger, Smoother Display
Both Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The 480Hz touch sampling rate makes scrolling and gaming smoother, while a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits ensures clear visibility even in sunlight.
Powerful Performance & Longer Battery Life
The phones run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, optimized for better battery life and faster performance. Compared to the previous model, the CPU is 33% faster, and the graphics processing has 11% more power. The 5,000mAh battery provides up to two days of usage and supports fast charging, reaching 50% in under 20 minutes.
Premium Design with Better Durability
Nothing has upgraded the design by replacing the plastic back with glass panels, giving the phones a more premium feel. This change also improves water and dust resistance to an IP64 rating.
Upgraded Cameras – Including a Periscope Lens
The Phone (3a) Pro introduces a periscope zoom lens, allowing for higher-quality zoom photos. It features a 70mm focal length with a Sony LYTI 600 sensor for clearer shots. The Phone (3a), on the other hand, has a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and AI-powered 30x ultra zoom. Both models share the same 50MP main camera and offer 4K video recording on the front camera.
AI Features with Essential Space
Nothing is launching its own AI-powered platform, Essential Space, designed to help users capture and organize information. Features include the ability to save screenshots with voice notes, making it easier to recall important details later.
Pricing and Availability
- Phone (3a): Starts at $379 USD (£329 GBP), available for pre-order now.
- Phone (3a) Pro: Starts at $459 USD (£449 GBP), available for pre-order from March 11.
Nothing’s latest smartphones continue to push the boundaries of design, performance, and AI-driven experiences, offering premium features at an affordable price.
