A sleek, lightweight sneaker in black and white.
Japanese designer Junya Watanabe is finally releasing his much-anticipated New Balance Minimus UX200 this week. First seen nearly a year ago, the sneaker brings back a Y2K-inspired, slim design, moving away from the chunky sneaker trend.
Design and Features
- The Minimus UX200 has a flat, flexible sole that closely follows the shape of the foot.
- The upper is made of mesh, leather, and synthetic taping, making it lightweight and breathable.
- A triangular cage on the toebox, visible through translucent mesh, gives it a futuristic look.
- The New Balance “N” logo blends into the upper, while Junya Watanabe MAN branding appears on the tongue.
- The Vibram outsole features a golden logo embossed into the arch for better grip.
Release Details
The Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance Minimus UX200 will release in Japan on March 21, 2025, for approximately $275 USD (40,700 JPY). It will be available at Junya Watanabe MAN stores, and while a global release hasn’t been confirmed, pairs might appear at Dover Street Market and select online retailers. Stay tuned for more updates!
