A Timepiece Symbolizing Justice, Dignity, and Tradition
To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, Casio G-Shock has introduced a special limited-edition watch filled with deep symbolism. The GMA-P2125W-6A model comes in a beautiful lavender purple shade with a hidden mimosa flower detail that lights up when the LED backlight is activated.
A Meaningful Color Choice
The purple color of the watch represents justice and dignity, values associated with women’s rights movements around the world. The band, bezel, dial, and hands are all in different shades of purple, creating a stylish monochrome look. For contrast, golden and white accents add a touch of elegance.
A Special Flower Hidden in the Glow
G-Shock included a unique mimosa flower design that appears when the LED backlight is turned on. This detail is inspired by the tradition of gifting mimosa flowers to women on International Women’s Day, a practice that began in Italy in the 1940s as a symbol of strength and appreciation.
Eco-Friendly and Durable Design
The watch is based on the GMA-P2100 model, featuring a bio-based resin band, case, and bezel—an eco-conscious material that helps reduce environmental impact. It also maintains G-Shock’s well-known shock resistance and water resistance, making it both stylish and durable for everyday wear.
Release Date and Availability
The International Women’s Day 2025 watch will be available starting March 5 at 11 AM local time on G-Shock’s website and select retail stores.
