Apple Sports App Now Supports Formula 1 Racing

Fans can track live leaderboards, lap times, and real-time race updates.

Apple is expanding its Apple Sports app by adding support for Formula 1 racing. With the latest update (Version 2.6), users can now access live leaderboards, lap times, and real-time race updates throughout the F1 season.

This move comes as Apple deepens its connection with the sport, especially with its upcoming F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, which is set to release on June 27 before streaming on Apple TV+.

What’s New in Apple Sports?

  • Live F1 leaderboards to track race positions.
  • Real-time lap times for every driver.
  • Instant race updates to follow the action.

Apple Sports launched in February 2024 and already covers major leagues like the NFL, NBA, and Premier League. Now, with F1 included, fans in the U.S., U.K., and Canada—where the app is available—can stay updated on all races.

While Apple hasn’t acquired F1 broadcasting rights, this update shows its growing interest in the sport and strengthens its digital presence in the motorsports world.
