A Bold Yet Understated Evolution of Anoma’s Debut Timepiece
Independent watch brand Anoma has unveiled the A1 Slate, a new version of its debut A1 model featuring a sleek black lacquered dial. This latest release follows the success of the first A1 series, which introduced the brand’s signature rounded triangular case design.
A Minimalist Yet Striking Design
Anoma’s founder, Matteo Violet Vianello, describes the watch as “pure and understated, with a timeless elegance.” The black lacquered dial features vertically-brushed triangular patterns, creating a unique effect that shifts between a glossy black finish and a subtle two-tone appearance.
A Sculptural Case Inspired by Art
The A1 Slate retains the 39mm stainless steel case of the original model, which wears slim on the wrist due to its curved, lug-less design. Its shape takes inspiration from a Charlotte Perriand coffee table from the 1950s, adding an artistic touch to its contemporary style.
Limited Availability
The Anoma A1 Slate will be available to order starting March 10 at 2 p.m. GMT / 10 a.m. ET via Anoma’s official website.
