The brand moves forward with no ties to Ye.
adidas has completely cleared out its remaining YEEZY stock, marking the official end of its connection with the rapper formerly known as Kanye West (Ye). From sneakers to apparel, the German sportswear giant no longer holds any YEEZY products in its inventory.
A Final Goodbye to YEEZY
According to Reuters, adidas announced on Wednesday that it had sold its last pair of YEEZY sneakers at the end of 2024. This comes after the brand cut ties with Ye in October 2022 due to his controversial remarks.
adidas’ Chief Financial Officer, Harm Ohlmeyer, confirmed,
“There is not one YEEZY shoe left, it has all been sold and that episode is behind us.”
While the YEEZY partnership was a major success for adidas, its loss impacted sales, especially in North America. In 2024, the company saw a 2% decline in sales in the region, which was largely due to lower YEEZY sales.
YEEZY Sales and Charitable Donations
Despite the fallout, adidas made €200 million EUR in YEEZY sales in 2023 and another €300 million EUR in operating profit from the inventory in 2024. The company has pledged to donate €260 million EUR—nearly half of its YEEZY profits from the past two years—to organizations fighting antisemitism.
With its YEEZY chapter officially closed, adidas now looks ahead to new opportunities and collaborations in the sneaker world.
