Jordan Brand and Union LA are once again making waves in the sneaker world. With the "Varsity Red" Air Jordan 1 collaboration rumored to drop soon, a new and unseen colorway has surfaced—mixing elements of the Air Jordan 1 "UNC" and Air Jordan 1 "Royal."
A Blend of Classic Colors
This potential sample pair follows the same split-style design Union LA is known for. It features:
- A black and blue "Royal" collar
- A white and powder blue upper
- Aged midsoles for a vintage touch
- A powder blue outsole
One special detail is the suede collar, a throwback to the OG 1985 Air Jordan 1s (leather collars didn’t appear until 1994). The shoe also includes bold stitching below the collar and a custom tongue tag—a signature of Union LA’s unique aesthetic.
Will It Release?
Right now, there’s no confirmation if this sneaker will hit stores or remain a sample. However, with 2025 marking the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, it wouldn’t be surprising if it eventually gets an official release. Stay tuned for updates!
