Lexus Unveils Surf LX Concept and Strengthens Ties with World Surf League

A luxury SUV built for surfers, revealed at the 2025 Lexus Pipe Pro.

Lexus has introduced the Surf LX Concept, a custom luxury SUV designed for surfers, at the 2025 Lexus Pipe Pro in Oahu, Hawaii. Alongside this reveal, Lexus announced an expanded multi-year partnership with the World Surf League (WSL).

As part of the agreement, Lexus will be the title sponsor for five major WSL events in 2025, including the WSL Awards, Pipe Pro, Trestle Pro, US Open of Surfing, and WSL Finals. Lexus will also extend its partnership to Cloudbreak, Fiji, for the WSL Finals.

Designed for Surfers

The Surf LX Concept blends coastal aesthetics with adventure-ready features. Inspired by professional surfers like Griffin Colapinto, the SUV boasts a matte blue exterior, a contrasting white roofline, and black accents—a color scheme reflecting ocean waves.

Inside, it features durable leather upholstery, 20-inch gray wheels, and 33-inch all-terrain tires, making it rugged enough for sand, saltwater, and rough coastal terrain.

The trunk is optimized for surfers, featuring:

  • Slide-out storage
  • A surfboard rack
  • A built-in cooler
  • A waxing table
  • A turf-changing mat

Additional features include a custom exo-cage, LED-lit rear ladder, and easy access to the roof rack for storing boards.

At the moment, Lexus has not announced plans for a commercial release of the Surf LX Concept. However, it stands as a symbol of Lexus' growing connection to surf culture and its commitment to innovation and adventure.
