New rugged smartwatches with enhanced durability and long battery life.
Garmin has introduced the Instinct 3 Series, a lineup of tough, sports-focused smartwatches designed for adventurers. The new collection offers improved durability, upgraded displays, and impressive battery life, with one model even promising “unlimited battery life” when using solar charging.
The watches come in two sizes—45mm and 50mm—and offer two display options. One model features a bright AMOLED screen with an always-on display and up to 24 days of battery life on a single charge. The other model continues Garmin’s solar-powered technology, allowing for continuous use as long as there is enough sunlight. Garmin claims the Instinct 3 Solar lasts five times longer than its predecessor when using solar charging.
Built for tough conditions, the Instinct 3 Series is designed to meet U.S. military standards (MIL-STD-810). The watches have fiber-reinforced polymer cases, newly designed metal bezels for extra strength, and scratch-resistant screens. They are also water-resistant up to 100 meters and feature a built-in flashlight with multiple lighting options, including a red light and strobe mode for emergencies.
Additional features include:
✔ Garmin Pay for contactless payments
✔ Multi-band GPS with SatIQ for better accuracy
✔ Heart rate and sleep tracking
✔ Pulse Ox2 monitoring
✔ Menstrual cycle tracking for women’s health
The Garmin Instinct 3 Series is available now in Black, Black/Charcoal, Neotropic, and Neotropic/Twilight, starting at $399.99 USD / £349.99 GBP.
