Ford Unveils Mustang Mach-E NASCAR Prototype

A fully electric race car built for high-speed performance.

Ford has revealed the Mustang Mach-E NASCAR prototype, an all-electric race car designed to showcase the future of EV motorsport.

This high-performance prototype combines NASCAR Cup Series technology with advanced EV engineering. It features three electric motors powered by a 78 kWh battery, delivering instant torque and rapid acceleration. The car also has a full carbon fiber tub, making it lighter and more rigid for high-speed racing.

Many parts come from the current NASCAR Cup Series cars, including the suspension, brakes, steering, and wheels. While Ford has not confirmed if NASCAR will fully transition to electric racing, this prototype highlights the brand’s commitment to pushing EV performance to the next level.

Whether or not it competes on the track, the Mustang Mach-E NASCAR prototype is a bold step in Ford’s electrification journey.
