The Next Chapter in Anoma’s Debut Timepiece
After making a strong debut with the A1 last June, independent watch brand Anoma is back with an exciting update—introducing the A1 Slate, a refined version featuring a stunning black lacquered dial.
A Bold Return to Simplicity
The A1 Slate stays true to Anoma’s signature style with its unique rounded triangular case, but this time, it embraces a sleek, all-black look. Matteo Violet Vianello, Anoma’s founder and a member of the GPHG academy, explains, “In a world full of colorful designs, we wanted to show the power of simplicity. Black is bold yet subtle, making it timeless.”
Eye-Catching Design Details
The dial has a vertically-brushed finish with subtle black lacquered triangular patterns. This design creates a cool visual effect, where the watch face shifts from a shiny black to a two-tone look, depending on how the light hits it.
The 39mm stainless steel case maintains a slim, elegant profile, thanks to its curved, lug-less design. It fits comfortably on the wrist while showcasing the same sculptural shape inspired by a 1950s Charlotte Perriand coffee table, blending modern minimalism with vintage charm.
