Parmigiani Fleurier Unveils Tonda PF Xiali Chinese Calendar in Rose Gold

Parmigiani Fleurier is welcoming the Lunar New Year with a luxurious new version of its Tonda PF Xiali Chinese Calendar, now crafted in 18-carat rose gold. This timepiece celebrates Chinese traditions while showcasing the brand’s dedication to fine craftsmanship.

The 42mm case is made entirely of rose gold, featuring an elegant knurled bezel that enhances its sophisticated look. The watch’s Imperial Red dial, adorned with a guilloché pattern, adds a regal touch, making it a standout piece. Surrounding the hour markers are the 24 solar terms, which represent the agricultural phases of the traditional Chinese calendar, giving the watch a meaningful cultural connection.

At the 12 o’clock position, a subdial displays the year’s name, zodiac animal, and element, offering insight into the Chinese lunar calendar. Additional subdials at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock provide information about the months, days, and whether the day is part of a long or short date. A moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock adds both beauty and functionality, helping the wearer track the lunar cycle.

The artistry continues on the back of the watch, where a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the PF008 Calibre movement. Decorated with a Côtes de Genève finish, beveled bridges, and a 22-carat rose gold skeletonized oscillating weight, the mechanism reflects Parmigiani Fleurier’s attention to detail.

This stunning timepiece will launch on January 29, coinciding with the Lunar New Year celebration for the Year of the Wood Snake. With its cultural significance and exquisite design, the Tonda PF Xiali Chinese Calendar in rose gold is a true blend of tradition and luxury.
