J Balvin Teams Up with G-Shock for First Ever Collaboration: "Time Matters" Box Set

 

J Balvin, the Colombian artist known for his vibrant music and unique style, is stepping into the world of watches with his first-ever collaboration with Casio G-Shock. This partnership brings us a limited-edition G-Shock DWE-5600 watch, part of the “Time Matters” box set.

As a lifelong fan of G-Shock, J Balvin is excited to bring his creativity to the brand. The collaboration features a black bezel and band, with an interchangeable translucent matte yellow option, allowing wearers to switch up their style. On the watch’s face, you'll find the text “Ma’ G,” a reference to his hit song from the album JOSE.

The watch also includes signature J Balvin music motifs like the lightning bolt logo from his 2016 album Energía, which appears on the band, band keepers, and even the engraved stainless steel case back. The case back also features Balvin’s smiley face logo, making the piece even more personal. For the first time, G-Shock has included Spanish text on the button labels, written in Balvin’s own handwriting.

The DWE-5600 is built with a Carbon Core Guard case, ensuring durability while maintaining a sleek look. The box set is expected to be priced around $230 USD, but the official release date is yet to be announced.
