To celebrate the Year of the Snake, luxury watchmaker Franck Muller has introduced the Silhouette CX Snake, a timepiece that blends artistic beauty with cutting-edge craftsmanship. This exclusive watch captures the elegance and mystery of the snake, offering a stunning tribute to the zodiac animal.
The Silhouette CX Snake is crafted from 18k rose gold and showcases the fluid, graceful movements symbolized by the snake. This watch also debuts the Silhouette CX case, a new design evolution led by Franck Muller’s co-founder and master case-maker, Vartan Sirmakes.
The case is inspired by the iconic Curvex CX but features unique asymmetrical curves that mimic the snake’s twisting motion. Its design was meticulously crafted using advanced 3D modeling, and the sapphire glass extends to the lugs, offering a clear view of the intricate dial.
The dial itself is a work of art, adorned with a snake motif set with deep green emeralds using a delicate snow-setting technique. The numerals are carefully arranged to align with the irregular case shape, a precision achieved through 3D CNC machining.
Inside the watch beats the in-house MVT FM 2038 movement, perfectly housed within a specially designed casing ring to match the asymmetrical shape. Completing the look is a green snakeskin-embossed leather strap, seamlessly integrated into the case for a comfortable fit.
Limited to just 28 pieces, the Silhouette CX Snake is exclusively available in the Asia Pacific region. Priced at $66,000 SGD (around $48,165 USD), this luxurious timepiece is a perfect blend of innovation and elegance.
