Nike Book 1 "Forrest Gump" Set for Official Release in January 2025

 

Earlier this year, NBA star Devin Booker was spotted wearing a special edition of the Nike Book 1 in a colorway inspired by the iconic “Forrest Gump” look. The shoe blends the world of basketball with a bit of nostalgia, as it closely resembles the famous Nike Cortez from the classic movie. Initially seen as a PE (Player Exclusive), the “Forrest Gump” version of the Nike Book 1 will now be available to the public.

The design stays true to the original Cortez style, with a white upper and vibrant red accents. The Swoosh logos, tongue labels, and heel tabs all feature a bold red color, while the shoe sits on a white rubber sole. A signature blue stripe on the midsole completes the look, bringing in the familiar details from the Cortez.

Now that the Nike Book 1 “Forrest Gump” is set for a general release, fans can expect to grab a pair starting January 22, 2025, for $140 USD. This release coincides with Nike’s plan to reintroduce the OG “Forrest Gump” Cortez in May 2024. Get ready to relive the classic look with a modern twist!
