Nike has teamed up with Dex Robinson to create a special edition of the Nike Air Force 1 Low to honor his alma mater, Virginia Union University (VUU). The new “Virginia Union” colorway celebrates the school’s history, its Panther mascot, and Robinson’s personal connection to the university.
The sneaker features a shaggy black upper made from hair-on leather, inspired by the strength and spirit of the Panther mascot. The design also includes deep red accents on the laces and a steel outline on the classic Swoosh. At the heel tabs, you’ll find the heartfelt messages “Dear Union” and “With Love, Dex Rob,” which represent Robinson’s tribute to the school.
Inside, the insoles are printed with a personal letter from Robinson, set against the backdrop of the school’s campus sign. This sneaker not only celebrates the pride of Virginia Union University but also highlights the legacy of HBCU excellence.
