New Balance is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a fresh design on the 1906R model, featuring a soothing gradient effect. Set to release in Spring 2025, this version of the 1906R offers a lighter take on the usual holiday-themed sneakers.
The design focuses on a dark-to-light gradient along the base of the shoe. The heel counter starts with a darker grey, transitioning to lighter shades across the overlays. Reflective details enhance the lighter areas, giving the shoe a more refined, subtle look. Unlike traditional Lunar New Year sneakers, which often feature Chinese Zodiac animal designs, New Balance is choosing to focus on timeless, elegant aesthetics this year.
