Louis Vuitton has unveiled the latest addition to its Escale collection, a platinum timepiece featuring a mesmerizing blue dial. The watch is a true work of art, crafted by four master artisans using techniques like grand feu enamel, guilloché engraving, champlevé, and flinqué.
The dial starts as a solid gold disc, carefully engraved to create a detailed radial pattern. Artisans then apply a special enamel, mixing pigments to achieve a rich, translucent blue finish. The dial is fired at high temperatures multiple times, revealing the intricate guilloché pattern beneath the enamel. This delicate process also includes coating the back of the dial to ensure its durability.
Hour markers are crafted from 18k white gold, paired with elegant lance-shaped hands and a titanium central seconds hand. The 39mm platinum case, inspired by Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks, features “rivet” lugs for a touch of classic design. Inside, the watch is powered by the LFT023 chronometer caliber, certified by the Geneva Observatory. The movement includes a 22-carat rose gold micro-rotor and offers a 50-hour power reserve.
The watch also features a sapphire crystal caseback, allowing a clear view of its intricate mechanics. It is completed with a luxurious blue calf leather strap that matches the dial’s stunning color.
Limited to just 50 pieces, the Louis Vuitton Escale Platinum is priced at €75,000 EUR (approximately $78,501 USD). This exclusive timepiece combines artistry and precision, making it a must-have for collectors.
